Spending Time Outside

Image
When I spend time outside, I try to appreciate everything and send my gratitude into the universe. Yesterday I spent some time outside the pond on campus and saw some geese and ducks. It was so cute to see the animals back out when the sun comes out and warmer weather starts. Me and my friend fed the birds some bird seed and tried feeding the ducks some cheerios, but they stayed towards the middle of the pond. The sun was hitting the pond at a perfect angle lighting up the inside of the water and it was so pretty to see all the moss and sea grass growing. Spending time outside helps me appreciate the small things in life. I love being outside and breathing in the fresh air and just taking a break from life for a couple minutes or even hours.

Fern the Tree

Image
This Fern a tree me and my friend sit under every day and do work or even just to relax. While observing Fern I admired her beauty, the way she sways in the wind, her wounds, and the way she has a very comforting presence. Fern has many wounds, some of them being manmade ones and some internal. She has a camera strapped onto one of her branches that digs into her with nails. She also has a number tag nailed in her backside that is facing the pond. I visit Fern almost every day, she is located right behind the Red Fern which is where her name came from. Her internal wounds are more conclusions that me and my friend came to when speaking to her. One of her branches is twisted and turned reaching out towards the tree that is next to her towards the pond. I took that visual as her reaching out and twisting herself lose to stay connected with someone. Fern has an amazing energy that radiates such comfort and love. I am glad I met Fern and will be visiting her more ...
